Cambridge design services

Print design

Sometimes you may know exactly what you're after; other times you way want to talk about the options before deciding how best to get your message across. Either way, I'll work with you to get the most out of your budget; I can supply print-ready PDFs or arrange printing for you.

Having been an undergraduate at Cambridge, as well as an employee of both the University and the University Press, I'm very familiar with design for high-end academic institutions, in particular the University of Cambridge.

Design services include:

  • Posters and flyers
  • Leaflets, brochures and prospecti
  • Newsletters and magazines
  • Labelling and packaging
  • Logos and stationery

Web design

Projects generally fall into two categories - creating a new site from scratch, or redesigning an existing site - but I'm more than happy adding pages or working within an existing site.

When creating a project from scratch, I can either work within an existing corporate identity, or create a new design for you that's suitable for your organisation. Frequent and open communication means that you'll get a site which not only does what you want it to but is intuitive for the end user.

Redesigning an existing site involves looking at the current site and identifying what it does well and what needs improving. Quite often, the copy on the site is good, but it's buried in a complex structure which has evolved over time; simply taking the website apart and putting it back together again in a more sensible structure makes it more user-friendly. At other times, a more comprehensive overhaul may be needed; again, regular and open communication ensures the project progresses smoothly.

Web design services include:

  • Simple one- or two-page sites
  • Small database-driven sites (eg with a news or events section)
  • Larger database-driven sites
  • Online shops and software licensing sites
