Website for the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club

Royal West Norfolk Golf Club, Brancaster  |  January 2009

The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club's website was there purely for information, but was a little tricky to update. I pulled information from the old website, and wrote some more for the new site, to make the Secretary and Assistant Secretary's lives easier.

The site contains a diary system, so that the Secretary can update information on which visitors and competitions are happening when, and update the tide information (as the course is inaccessible at high tide). Members can then view the information and work out when the best time to play might be.

There's also a news section (again run through a database, for ease of updating), and a members' account section, where members can register to be able to find partners for competitions at the Club.

Transferring the diary from a book to a database means fewer phone calls from the Secretary to the Pro and the Stewards every time a booking is made, as the Pro and Stewards can access the diary too, and also saves double entry of information.

The site is written in HTML (strict) and CSS.
