Mystic Pig

The first novel I've designed, Mystic Pig is a reprint of the out-of-print first book by American author Richard Katrovas. The book itself is a cracking read, evoking the spirit of New Orleans.

To reflect the earthy, dirty nature of a city, and to reflect the fact that the book's title refers to an epic poem, I chose an uncoated stock and used browns and burnt reds. The cover has a foil block over the title, to make it catch the light.

The finished book is 220pp, set in Centaur and (for some email conversations) Futura.
