"Mr Hodge, having won the toss by a system of his own founded upon the differential calculus and the Copernican theory, sent in his opening pair to bat." Thus begins one of the most famous literary cricket matches, from the brilliant England, Their England, written in 1911 by A. G. Macdonell. I was lent a copy by my housemaster, Nigel Wheeler, while I was at Eastbourne; he thought the cricket match might appeal to me, as I was the scorer for the 1st XI. It was, quite simply, a perfect caricature of village cricket.
Nearly 20 years later, I'm delighted to have designed the reissue of England, Their England by the Oleander Press. It'll be released on 9 May.

The 2011 edition of the Queens' College annual magazine. As usual, all the text was provided as Word documents, along with around 100 pictures (both electronically and for scanning).
The finished article is 88pp long, bound with a spine for the first time (as opposed to being stapled). As well as design, I handled print and mailing for Queens'.

The next instalment of The Fountain, the newsletter of Trinity College, Cambridge. Because of Trinity's high-profile nature, every i needs dotting and every t crossing - their proof-readers are very thorough!
This copy of The Fountain will be hitting doormats around the middle of March.

Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, endowed Cambridge with a significant sum to set up the Gates Scholarships, which enable postgraduates to study at the University of Cambridge.
Using a combination of manual typesetting and scripts to convert a spreadsheet into a designed document, I produced this 120-page yearbook, featuring information about the scholars, along with pictures. A job which would have taken several days to produce manually was finished in a few hours.

Today Rupert Brooke is probably best known as one of the famous First World War poet but, strangely, his works were not collected into one volume before now.
As another project for the Cambridge-based Oleander Press, I designed and typeset this new collection, which has an introduction by the Chair of the Rupert Brooke Society.
